As the largest language society on campus, FrenchSoc is dedicated to spreading Francophone culture and language across Belfield and this year will be no different! Once a week we will be welcoming our members to our pastry-filled ‘Café Croissant’ where you can take a break from lectures and grab some free tea, coffee, pain au chocolat, and of course croissants! We will also be running regular language workshops for all levels of speakers who want to improve their French, as well as (semi-)educational French movie screenings, book clubs, and board game nights!

The year won’t be shy of social events either, with our famous Wine & Cheese evenings, nights out to town, pub quizzes, and crepe parties – plus many more collabs with other societies! And of course fingers crossed we will again be taking our members on our annual society trip to France, where before we have visited cities like Paris, Nice, Lyon, Toulouse, Bordeaux, and more for an action-packed few days abroad! This year our committee is so excited to see lots of new faces at our events (don’t forget there’s no need to speak any French to join) so just keep an eye out on our Insta @ucdfrenchsoc and we will see you around :))
