Young Fine Gael
As the largest and most active student political society on campus, Young Fine Gael is the best society for UCD students who want to get involved in achieving political change in Ireland. We are a broad church of opinion, where each member has the opportunity to voice their opinions and contribute to discussions on a wide range of domestic and international political issues.
As an autonomous youth organisation, we have the advantage of embodying the values of the Senior Party, whilst maintaining the independence to express our own ideas and policies. These policies can have a direct influence on the policy platform of the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party.
We hold weekly branch meetings with policy discussion as well as organising guest speakers, social events and seminars throughout the year. Our members range from all years, courses and backgrounds and there is always room for those who consider themselves novices to politics as well as those who know the Irish Constitution off by heart! Every year in January our branch goes on an International trip for a few days and aside from the policy aspect we also have lots of nights out and socials.
