An Tánaiste and Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Frances Fitzgerald has achieved great success in Irish Politics to date. She is a TD for the constituency of Dublin Mid-West, a former social worker and a parliamentarian for over 20 years. Frances entered politics as a campaigner on social issues immediately after her tenure as chairperson of the National Women’s Council. She introduced the legislation for the Marriage Equality referendum and is currently working towards driving employment growth and investment in Ireland, especially outside the greater Dublin area and expanding Irish enterprise agencies presence abroad. An Tánaiste is also a UCD graduate, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from UCD as well as a MSc. in Social Administration and Social Work from the London School of Economics. We're inviting all of our members to come and see her address the society with the opportunity to ask her questions, on the 12th of October in the Fitzgerald chamber at 6 o'clock. We can't wait to see you there!
