Auditions: ‘Precious Little Talent’ by Ella Hickson
“Joey, a disillusioned English graduate, arrives in New York to visit her estranged father. But after a whirlwind midnight run through the city, she finds herself falling for an idealistic young American. As she fights to be remembered by her father’s failing mind, Joey must decide if she can let go of her fears and believe again.”
GENERAL AUDITION INFORMATION
Please only submit one recording of yourself performing one of the pieces.
The deadline for submission of pieces is Tuesday 20th October at 5:00 pm.
If you are unable to make the deadline but would still like to submit a tape, send me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can figure something out.
If you are uncomfortable recording yourself and would prefer to do an audition through Zoom, shoot me an e-mail at the address above and we’ll do our best to facilitate that.
NOTE: As specified before the pieces, an English accent is preferred for Joey and George, and an American accent is preferred for Sam. However, those are not necessary, so if you do not feel comfortable doing those, record the audition in your own accent.
Character notes and context for the scenes is provided before each audition piece.
Please note that you are absolutely not required to know the piece off by heart, but do read it a few times before recording to make sure you are familiar with it.
If you have any other questions or queries, send me an email at email@example.com and I’ll be happy to sort you out
