    Dear all, PharmTox and 3DNEONET are delighted to announce our next event - an OPEN DISCUSSION entitled "Cannabis and Cannabinoids as a Therapeutic - Where Does Ireland Stand from a Policy, Societal and Research Perspective?"   On Thursday November 16th at 6:30pm in the UCD Fitzgerald Debating Chamber in the new Student Centre. We have a fantastic line up of speakers including: Dr. Andrew Irving (UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Sciences) - Andrew is a neuroscience researcher in UCD, who has profound experience in the field of neuroscience working with cannabinoids, endogenous cannabinoid receptors and potential molecular targets for cannabinoids Mr. Graham de Barra (Executive Director of Help Not Harm) - Graham is a co-founder of "Help Not Harm", an organisation that aims to promote compassionate and evidence based approach to drug policy in Ireland, promote regulated access to cannabis-based medicines in Ireland and to end the criminalisation of sick people seeking help Ms. Sorcha Crosse (Addiction Practitioner in Inchicore Bluebell Community Addiction Team) – Sorcha is a frontline staff member working with members of the public that initially used cannabis for recreational reasons but developed substance use problems. Sorcha will anonymously share their experiences of addiction and people’s motives for taking cannabis in a psychosocial context.
