This Event has been already started.
Hi everyone, Christmas is around the corner, and in collaboration with Team Hope, UCD and Livingstones will be having the annual Shoebox Appeal. We'll be preparing Christmas gift (shoe)boxes for the beneficiary children in Eastern Europe and Africa, many of whom are orphans, street children and victims of war and do not have the chance to receive gifts during seasons like these. So come prepared next Thursday, 9th November, 5.30pm-9pm, at the St Stephen's Chaplaincy. You could come join us and wrap the gifts together, we'll be wrapping from 6.30pm onwards. Or if you already have your box prepared, you could just drop off your boxes at the Chaplaincy during that time. The Chaplaincy is the official collection point for UCD. The gifts could be small toys and knick-knacks, or more practical items like soap, stationery or clothes. They can also be tailored to the age groups (2-4 years, 5-9 years, or 10-14 years) and boys/girls , or could be just general gifts. Keep in mind not to put in any perishable food stuffs or anything that might melt inside. Put your gifts in a shoebox, wrap them up, drop them off at the St Stephen's Chaplaincy and they'll be on their way to bless a special child this Christmas. This is a such a meaningful and warm cause that really blesses in a season of blessings, and we hope you'll join us!
