This Event has been already started.
Join us this Thursday evening for the second event of our Israel-Palestine Awareness Week! We will be taking a workshop-style approach to Amnesty International's course: Deconstructing Israel's apartheid against Palestinians. This will provide an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding and awareness about the ongoing apartheid against Palestinians, as we will be delving into, discussing and engaging with the course material as we go through it together. This course will cover what apartheid is; how the oppression and domination of Palestinians by Israel amounts to apartheid; how apartheid affects Palestinians; actions to campaign against apartheid. While we will be going through the course on 'the big screen', participants are welcome to follow through on their own personal computers or phones at the same time in order to receive Amnesty International's digital 'Certificate of Participation' at the end. We will also have printed certificates on the day for anyone who takes part. This event will take place from 6-8pm on Thursday 3rd March in the Blue Room (first floor of the Old Student Centre, beside the UCD Student Health Service). Aaand, with it being dinner time, you can expect that pizza will be provided! We at Amnesty UCD look forward to seeing you there! :)
