Join us for a evening of discussion and activism with UCD Disability inclusion and Awareness Society as we unpack what it means to have a disability, be part of LGBTQ+ and have to constantly fight for visibility.
UCD LGBT Society is a social group which aims to provide a relaxed environment for UCD students and staff who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans*. You don't need to identify as LGBTQ+ to join - we love our allies and advocates! Anyone can join, as long as they have an open mind and respect for people in the LGBTQ+ community.
Adjusting to college life can be difficult for any student, but when a student is also struggling with accepting or disclosing their sexual or gender identity, college can become more complicated and challenging. As a college society, the people in UCD LGBT know and understand this situation - many of us have been through it. We aim to provide support for UCD students who are in need of an accepting, safe space for LGBTQ+ people.
We try to support and respect each others' privacy at all levels of the society. Do not hesitate to contact us through text or email and, if you feel uncomfortable coming to an event, we can arrange for you to meet up with a committee member for a chat in confidence
