    Event Description

    ElecSoc will have our AGM on Monday 10 April at 18:30 in Room 206 in the Engineering Building. The AGM will involve an overview of the years activity, election of a new committee and some pizza afterwards. Committee positions (listed below) are open to anyone that is currently a member of the society. Being part of the committee is an excellent way to steer the society and have a impact right across campus. The committee positions are listed below and if you are interested in putting yourself forward for a position or would like more information, please send us an email.

    ------------------ Committee Positions ----------------

    Auditor

    The Auditor is the head of the society. As Auditor you will be required to manage the societies activities for the year, represent the Society in the Societies Council and lead the committee.

    Secretary

    The secretary is in charge of keeping minutes for committee meetings, managing society communications and keeping non-financial records of the society's activities.

    Treasurer

    The treasurer is required to manage the financial affairs of the society, which includes keeping records of any financial transactions carried out by the society. Additionally, the treasurer is required to ensure that there is adequate funding available for all of the society's events throughout the year.

    Events Officer

    The events officer is required to organise and promote society events across the spectrum of activities carried out by the society (Reaching out to speakers/companies, booking rooms, promotion of events etc.).

    IEEE Officer

    As ElecSoc oversees the IEEE Student Branch in UCD, the IEEE officer is required to facilitate this role. The IEEE officer will organise IEEE events and ensure that members are informed about relevant IEEE activities. The IEEE Officer is also required to assist in the organisation and promotion of events with the Events Officer.

    2 Robotics Officers

    The robotics officers are required to run the robotics club. This involves procurement of equipment, planning of projects, training of new members, recruitment of new members and preparations for local and international competitions in robotics. There are two Robotics Officer positions.
