The MathSoc Fundraising March involves participants walking/running/cycling any distance they wish while recording it (via phone, fitness watch etc.) at any time during the month (you can also do it multiple times!).
The proceeds for this event will be split 50/50 between the Irish Cancer Society and Wolfram Syndrome UK. You can learn more about these charities on their websites here:Irish Cancer Society: https://www.cancer.ie/about-usWolfram Syndrome UK: https://wolframsyndrome.co.uk/#You can find further details and the donation link in our Instagram bio and also here: https://www.entspay.com/mathsocmarch/.
You do not have to exercise to donate, but we would like as many people to get fit and have fun as possible! We then ask participants to donate any amount they wish (we would recommend €1 per km covered) on our EntsPay page.
We encourage you to post your distance covered and tag us in your stories!
We will also be giving out vouchers during the month of March to participants. There is no minimum donation requirement – all you have to do to be eligible is donate during each week of March – it’s that easy!
Please maintain social distancing and observe current public health guidance with respect to COVID-19 when undertaking all activities.
