The Minimum Unit Alcohol Pricing Debate. Wednesday the 2nd at 6:30pm in the Fitzgerald Chamber.
Minimum alcohol pricing has been a widely debated issue since its introduction on the 4th of January. New measures mean that every 10 grams of alcohol costs no less than 10 cents. The measures have been widely backed by Government officials and other important figures, however, not everyone is on board with its introduction.
We are honoured to be hosting some fantastic guests including Father Peter McVerry, Eunan McKinney of Alcohol Action Ireland and Professor Joseph Barry.
Come along on Wednesday and allow these speakers to explain their side of the debate. And of course free pizza for all! 🍕
