If DramSoc didn’t like your audition, then look no further! Mock trial, in contrast to mooting, is less legal application or research and more advocacy mixed with theatrics and perhaps pretentiousness. Participants are placed onto teams of two and together must formulate a defence and prosecution argument on behalf of your client in the most convincing and ostentatious manner possible. Come along to the Sutherland Courtroom this Thursday at 15:00, as our mock trial department explain the ins and outs of taking part in mock trials. This training requires no previous knowledge of advocacy and it will get you ready for the upcoming freshers' mock trial competition.
