Dame Dr. Jocelyn Bell Burnell is coming to UCD! She is a world renowned astrophysicist, who, as a grad student, discovered the first radio pulsars, and whose research was instrumental in the work awarded by the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1974. There will be a reception beforehand from 11:30 outside of Rm. 2.31 in the Physics Building, giving students time to talk with Dr. Bell Burnell. She will be giving a talk on 'Pulsars and Extreme Physics' on Monday, 27.2.17 at 12pm.
