The Economics Society is delighted to welcome Arthur Beesley, the Irish Correspondent of the Financial Times and the first of our speaker events, which will be held virtually at the end of the month. Previously he was European diplomatic correspondent, based in Brussels. Arthur joined the FT in 2016 after 18 years with the Irish Times, where he covered politics, economics, business and Europe. He writes on a variety of topics regarding political, social, and economic affairs here in Ireland and will discuss a variety of current topics as well as his own career, including but not limited to the current global health crisis and the effect it will have on students in the coming months and years. There will also be a Q&A where our audience will have the chance to ask Arthur questions. We look forward to welcoming you all.
