As part of ISDA Festival 2023, UCD Dramsoc presents 'The Importance of Being Earnest' written by Oscar Wilde and directed by Caoimhe Kavanagh and Saoirse Conroy. Set in 1895 England, ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ follows Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncreiff as they find love, in a somewhat unconventional way. This satirical comedy of errors unfolds as both Jack and Algernon impersonate a fictional character named Ernest in order to win over Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew respectively – a practice that finds them embroiled in their elaborate lies (to Jack’s disdain and Algernon’s delight). Tickets can be purchased at the door 15 minutes before the show, or at this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/isda-festival-2023-1954129
