We all have dreams. Some people dream about becoming a billionaire, others dream about marrying Harry Styles and the more unrealistic of us sooth ourselves to sleep imagining a 32-county socialist republic with Gerry Adams as supreme leader. For some, we are the same people, separated by a crude border, but united by our common culture, our tendency to create fractious treaties and our universal reputation for alcoholism. However, for others it is our differences that define us. We have different accents, different economies and we can’t even agree on how to say Derry. So if you want to see what side you fall on, come to the Student Centre at half 6 on Tuesday to find out whether you’re more green or orange, more Shane Long or Will Grigg or more Michael D or Queen Lizzy. So come for the pizza and slushies, and stay for the 32-county republic.
