Darren is addicted to heroin, has been for years. Nobody wants to be an addict, but almost nobody can break free from it either; Darren is no exception, he's one of the nobodies. But right now, he’s serious about getting clean. 67 days off the stuff so far and only eternity to go, Darren is determined to turn his life around and once and for all 'get free' from the grip of addiction. The only question is: is it actually possible? Methadone clinics, being homeless, and childhood memories that haunt him: there's more than one factor involved when one resorts to drugs. Using intense physical theatre, narration and dialogue, this is a new piece of theatre which hopes to express the complexity of drug addiction for the person affected and for Irish society.
Scenes of a distressing nature, drug use and strong language.
