We are extremely grateful for this rare opportunity to get a better understanding of reading ECGs from Tom. On the night Tom will go through why ECGs are the way they are and guarantees we will all believe they are easy ! Tom hopes that in exchange for his amazing knowledge of reading ECGs that he will gain a good bank of volunteers for this semesters Simon community programme. At this talk he will be explaining his aims for the the upcoming volunteer programme with the Simon community to help the homeless with their pets. The programme will involve fourth and final year UCD Veterinary students. All students are welcome to join as this programme will continue in years to come. Tom is from Dublin and graduated from UCD in 1984. In 1999 became the first vet practicing in Ireland to be awarded the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Veterinary Cardiology. Tom now works as a cardiologist in Nutgrove Veterinary Clinic. He also writes in the Veterinary Ireland Journal explaining ECGs to qualified vets. * Sign up for volunteer programme at the talk * Donations will be collected on the night all in aid of the Simon Community * Tea, coffee and pizza as always
