    Event Description

We will be hosting our last big social event before the exams! This is the traditional Pegasus launch night and Shave or Dye night all rolled into one! But that's not all- not only have we scandal and shaving- this year we also have soccer! It has been a hectic semester with so much going on and what better night to mark the last shindig before we begin our hibernation in the JJ for a few weeks. The books can wait for one more night. First we will have  5 years playing for 1 cup. Each team plays the other and the top two teams at the end of the group stages play the final. . First game is at 6pm at the Thorndale Pitches, behind the cages. The schedule is as follows; 6pm: 1st years vs 2nd years 3rd years vs 4th years 6.20pm 2nd years vs. 3rd years 4th years vs 5th years 6.40pm 1st years vs 3rd years 2nd years vs 5th years 7pm 1st years vs 5th years 2nd years vs 4th years 7.20pm 1st years vs 4th years 3rd years vs 5th years 7.40pm- Final TBC Each game is 7 minutes a half. Matches are 7-a-side and each team must have at least 1 girl. Each goal by a girl counts as 2 goals. Subs can roll on and off as often as they like. May the best team win⚽. After that it will be onto the student bar! The 3rd years have put some sterling work into putting together this years edition of Pegasus the satirical magazine with all the gossip and news from around the vet building. ANd you can buy your copy on the night for €5. But if the shamful scandals in Peggy are too much, you can pop over to Shave or Dye is in aid of a great cause, the Irish Cancer Society., and you'll soon be disguised! We have all been affected by cancer at some stage in our lives through friends and family. It's important we make a big effort to raise as much as possible. If you are interested in getting the chop please contact Matthew Sexton in Fourth year to organise a sponsorship form. We've hosted numerous charity events throughout the year and your genrosity has been astounding so far so keep it up! For any of you generous souls, here's a link for donations before the night: There will be finger food too! Be sure pop down to get your fill of vet soccer, scandal and shaving as well as supporting a fantastic cause... 3-in-1!! See ya there! VetSoc xoxo
