This Event already finished.
The final clinical talk of this semester will take place this Tuesday, 29th of November at 7pm in room 115. This talk will be given by Dr. Heidi Reich who has kindly agreed to travel from Austria to speak with us. Heidi will speak about two different topics: Pain management in small animal anaesthesia and Equine anaesthesia in the field. This promises to be an excellent talk covering two important topics for those of you interested in both small animal and equine practice. This is also great revision for fourth and final years. A bit more about Heidi... Heidi qualified with a degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Vienna in 2005. She had a keen interest in the area of anaesthesia, particularly pain management and completed her thesis on the topic of Brachial Plexus anaesthesia in cats, receiving her doctorate in 2006. Heidi worked in practice for 2 years before returning to complete her residency in anaesthesia and analgesia in UV. During this time, she anaesthetised everything from dogs and cats to horses and camels. To round up her knowledge on pain management she has been certified as a Veterinary Pain Practitioner (CVPP) through the International Academy of Pain Management in 2015. Heidi is preparing to sit her ECVAA diplomate exam next year. This talk is kindly sponsored by Chanelle. Free tea, coffee, biscuits and pizza will be provided as always :)
