    Directing Is All About Collaboration - a workshop in directing with Deirdre Molloy. Tuesday 28th 11:00-12:30 Deirdre Molloy's 90 minute workshop will be completely practical with a Q&A opportunity at the end. We will work on scenes and monologues from three modern texts: Sucking Dublin by Enda Walsh, Danny and Chantelle (still Here) by Phillip McMahon and Show Me Love by Colin Thornton. Participants will perform segments from these shows and be directed by other participants with guidance and input from Deirdre. A bit about Deirdre Molloy: Deirdre’s directing credits include Ruby Tuesday in Bewley’s café theatre and The Dolmen, soon to return to Bewley’s and The Viking, THISISPOPBABY’s Danny and Chantelle (Still Here) - winner of Spirit of the Fringe Award 2007, The Stuff Of Myth for Crazy Dog Audio Theatre, Car Show 2 for Corn Exchange, Love 2.0 for THISISPOPBABY and Acledama at Andrew’s Lane. She was assistant director on Gerard Stembridge’s The Gay Detective and Rough Magic’s first production of Pentecost. An ex member of Dublin Youth Theatre, she has directed and facilitated extensively in Youth Drama, most recently Show Me Love, DYT’s Big Show 2016. She devised and directed Wake Up Sleeping Beauties and directed Red Ball for Dublin Youth Theatre and for Waterford Youth Arts, she directed The Pilgrimage (chosen from 150 productions to play at Royal National Theatre, London as part of BT Connections Festival). She has facilitated on Calipo Theatre and Picture Company’s Sharp Focus film project and has worked as project manager on numerous events for Youth Theatre Ireland including NYT and their annual National Festival of Youth Theatres. As an actor, Deirdre has performed throughout Ireland and the UK, most recently in Hedda Gabbler, Sive and The Plough and the Stars at The Abbey. Her film and TV credits include Heartbreak, Adam and Paul, Intermission, Happy Ever Afters, Soft Sand Blue Sea, After ’68, Fair City and Radio Waves. She is a regular voiceover artist and has appeared in numerous radio plays for Crazy Dog Audio Theatre, RTE and BBCNI. Deirdre has also worked extensively behind the scenes on many of Ireland’s top festivals including Kilkenny Cat Laughs, Waterford Harvest Festival, Body & Soul, Electric Picnic and Vodafone Comedy Festival. She produced THISISPOPBABY’s hit show RIOT for Dublin Fringe 2016 and is currently their Company Manager.
