    Event Description

If you've ever wanted to learn how to properly throw a stage slap, or punch, or fall without hurting yourself now is your chance. Barry Morgan is trained in stage combat and professionally teaches stage combat with the theatre company Taste Maker theatre. He will lead a two hour masterclass on Monday about all things combat. This workshop is perfect for anyone looking for a fun excuse to hit a friend or looking at directing drama and dramatic fights in the future. This workshop requires loose comfortable clothing and please message Ali Dempsey McMahon or Aoife Delaney to confirm your attendance. Barry has been working in theatre for over ten years. He studied Drama Performance in DIT and went on to study Drama Facilitation as part of Youth Theatre Ireland's ArtsTrain programme. Barry has worked with The Abbey Theatre's Commmunity and Education Department, The Ark Theatre as well as numerous Universities, Schools and Youth Theatres around the country. He is also artistic Director of The De Luain Players, a special needs theatre group. Last Year Barry founded Tastemaker Theatre which aims to work with members of the community to bring awareness to a wide range of topics with workshops as diverse as "Shakespeare's Star Wars", "Sex and Sensibility" and "Exploring The Holocaust".
