English & Literary Society
The English and Literary Society or, better known as LitSoc, is the natural habitat of lovers of literature, laughs and alliteration (and evidently, irony). For the small price of your soul we offer you Writer’s Bloc, a writing session where members can free write, be inspired by prompts, share work to be workshopped if they want, as well as coffee and chill sessions for your chatting, ranting and befriending needs. Biannually we publish the award winning publication, Caveat Lector, where we receive university wide applications of written pieces and photography. From time to time you’ll also find us hosting a range of special events like author interviews, writing workshops, book club, open mic nights, to name a few, and amazing collaborations with other societies.
