Dance Society
UCD Dance Society is one of the largest and most active societies on campus and is dedicated to spreading the love and appreciation of dance to all its members. If you have danced your whole life and want to stick with it or have never even considered taking a dance class before, we are just the society for you!
We promote inclusivity through dance across campus. Each week, we host a variety of dance classes in differing styles for our members as a way to keep fit, have fun and learn something new. These classes are open level and everyone is welcome – no matter what level of dancer you are! We also host occasional workshops and events that are more focused and often involve collaborating with other societies!
Our society is also home to UCD’s very own performance and competition crews who rehearse twice weekly to prepare for a variety of performances throughout the year as well as the big event – the National Dance Intervarsities that take place in semester 2. We have been lucky enough to perform at Perform Ireland 2018, the GradIreland Graduate Recruitment Awards in the Mansion House, Dublin and Electric Picnic in both 2018 and 2019!
Our past national competitions have proven very successful for UCD Dance.
