Welcome to the Eastern European Society (EES)

If you’re looking to meet fellow Eastern European students, want to learn about any and all of our various cultures or just want to have a chill coffee morning or a fun night out, you’ve found the place. Here at EES, we host a multitude of activities and events.

If you’re looking to relax and have a chat whilst having your much deserved coffee, we host weekly coffee mornings offering free tea, coffee and biscuits. If you want to have a memorable night out and get some new drinking buddies, we also host nights out / pub quizzes / karaoke nights throughout the semester. Now if you want to learn, experience and enjoy any of the beautiful cultures of Eastern Europe we host all types of events for different celebrations across our cultures from Cartoon Screenings where you can see what the Eastern European childhood was like or enjoy a little bit of nostalgia, to Bake Sales where you can get the tastiest of our pastries and cakes, to our Easter Egg Painting where, as you can guess, we paint our wonderful traditional designs on eggs in preparation for Easter, and many more events encompassing at least a taste of all the various things that makes Eastern Europe, Eastern Europe.

All in all, you’re sure to find something to your liking, whether you’re from Eastern Europe itself or want to see what we’re all about.
