Hey guys!
We are pleased to announce that on Thursday, November 17th Dr Ursula Bond will be joining us to give a talk entitled "Packing a punch: how the unique genomes of Saccharomyces pastorianus are designed for making beer".
Dr Bond, who is known as a world leader in the genetics of industrial yeasts, graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a degree in biochemistry, before going on to undertake a PhD in Molecular Biology at Washington University, St Loius, Missouri, and a post-doct0ral research position in Yale University. We are delighted that Dr Bond has agreed to join us and provide a talk on her current research, how the different genes of the yeast, Saccharomyces pastorianus, are utilised in the production of beer.
