Garry Hynes receives Dramsoc honorary fellowship
This week Dramsoc presented Garry Hynes with an honorary fellowship in the Dramsoc theatre.
Hynes has an abundance of theatrical experience including co-founding Druid Theatre, one of Ireland’s most prestigious theatre companies. She was the artistic director of the Abbey Theatre for 4 years. Hynes was the first woman to ever win a Tony Award for the direction of a play and has also been awarded impressive accolades such as the Irish Times Irish Theatre Award, UK Theatre Award and a Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Director.
